RULES AND REGULATIONS

GENERAL INFORMATION

 

Please read carefully.  Failure to comply with these rules can result in disqualification.

 

Any teacher, parent, contestant or participant displaying improper conduct or presenting material not suitable for family audiences can be refused participation.  Furthermore, if participation is refused, it will result in the loss of any entry fees, awards or financial obligations on the part of All Out Dance (AOD).

 

Contestants grant AOD permission to use contestant photographs for advertising and promotional purposes or to appear in televised, video taped or filmed broadcasts.

 

Videotaping, flash photography and movie cameras are prohibited.  Non-compliance will result in confiscation of tape and possible disqualification.

 

Props are allowed, however any prop that poses a danger is prohibited.  A time limit of 2 minutes will be allowed for the set-up and strike of props.

 

Stage Manager will be on hand at all events to control backstage areas and any changes to the program. Any on site changes must go through our Stage Manager and will be at their discretion.

 

Inappropriate content such as foul language in music and provocative attire is prohibited and is cause for disqualification.  All Out Dance management will determine appropriateness not adjudicators.

 

Tap shoes must be removed or covered when not on stage or in designated warm-up area.  Please ensure all participants are aware and follow this rule.

 

Smoking, food and beverages are not allowed in contestant areas or auditorium.

 

Competition Entry Forms and Competition Fees must be submitted at the same time.   Cheque or money order will be accepted for all Competition Fees.  Deadline for entry is February 15, 2010 for all venues.  Extensions may be granted if AOD is contacted and a firm date is set.  AOD reserves the right to cancel any event.  Should this occur, all entry fees will be refunded. A 5% discount applies to entry forms and fees received by December 15, 2009.

 

All NSF cheques will be charged an additional $30 and future payment must be by certified cheque or money order.
